This website is owned and operated by 6 Degrees Networking. Please review these terms and conditions carefully before using this website and the social site. 1. Membership
All members are entitled to over 60% off admission to 6DN events unless otherwise stated.
In consideration of the payment of an annual subscription you are entitled to access to member areas on the 6DN websites.
The annual subscription year shall run for the period of the subscription year, that is, from the date of joining.
The annual subscription shall be as from time to time determined by 6DN and there may be different levels of subscription, as 6DN shall determine.
Once paid, a subscription or event fee, is not refundable in any respect or at any time except at the discretion of 6DN. The company to which the subscription relates provides for multiple memberships, limited to 3 nominated members per subscription at ONE company address; ie multiple addresses require multiple subscriptions.
The services specified in Clause 2 shall be included within the subscription, but such other services as are provided by 6DN shall be charged out as directed by them. 6DN reserves the right to set out specific rules and regulations for the management of the member Services and of any events organised by 6DN. Membership may not be assigned or transferred to any other person or entity.
Members must promptly inform 6DN of the following: changes in contact or billing address; apparent breaches of security, such as loss, theft, or unauthorised disclosure or use of an ID or password. Either 6DN or the member, upon notification to the other by electronic or postal mail, may terminate membership of 6DN at any time provided that the member shall remain responsible for all charges incurred prior to the date of termination.
6DN will not disclose any membership contact details or content to any member who has terminated their membership or had their membership revoked. When a member requests termination or 6DN revokes membership, all personal data and records will be removed from the site. 6DN reserves the right to deny any user access to the website, specific areas of the website or functionality or features of the website, without notice and at its sole discretion.
Access to and use of the sites is through a combination
of an ID and a password. Each member must keep their
username and password strictly confidential. Members are
responsible for providing all personal computer and
communications equipment necessary to access the website
and services of the company. You agree to register details
about yourself that are accurate and appropriate; that you
will not at any time impersonate any person or entity, or
falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation
with a person or entity.
2. Member Services
6DN shall provide opportunities for a member to network with other members not less than 12 occasions during a subscription year. 6DN shall provide to all members a free newsletter. 6DN may from time to time at their sole discretion promote and organise other events for the benefit of members.
3. Confidentiality
All communications with 6DN will be treated
confidentially. All individual, personal communication
between 6DN and a member is considered to be private and
must not be copied or distributed. You expressly understand
and agree that 6DN shall not be liable to you for any
direct or indirect use of the website or services,
including without limitation any failure of performance,
error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in
operation or transmission, communications line failure,
theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, alteration
of, or use of records, whether for breach of contract,
tortuous behaviour, negligence, or under any other cause or
action.
4. Links to third party sites
This site may contain hyperlinks to websites operated by parties other than 6DN. Such hyperlinks are provided for your reference only; 6DN does not control these sites and is not responsible for their content. 6DN’s inclusion of hyperlinks to other sites does not imply any endorsement of the material on such websites or any association with their operators.
5. Definitions and Interpretation
In these terms and conditions the following expressions shall have the meanings attributed thereto: ‘member’ means any person for whom or on whose behalf a subscription has been paid.
‘Member areas’ means the services provided in terms of Clause 2.
‘Subscription Fee’ means the period of one calendar year commencing on the first day of the month in which a subscription is paid. ‘website’ refers to the site at www.6degreesnetworking.co.uk
‘6DN’ means 6 Degrees Networking and operates from offices at: 6 Degrees Networking, c/o SM+Co. 7 Frederick Street, Edinburgh EH2 2EY.
This agreement is governed by the laws of Scotland. You are consenting to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in Scotland in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this website.
